'Twas a week before Christmas and we urgently need your help!!! We just learned that toy drives are WAY down more than 50 percent yet there are more families in need than ever before. So here goes... Operation Save Christmas 2020.
Our goal is to raise as much money as we can ASAP so we can buy toys from LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES who have also been severely struggling during the pandemic. The toys will then be delivered to local shelters, foster homes, etc.
While it's difficult to ask for donations this year with so many people enduring financial hardships, there is sadly always someone even far less fortunate. Prior to covid, there were roughly 13 million kids (approx 1 in 6) living below the poverty line in the United States - with about half of those living under conditions considered to be extreme poverty.
We're not sure how many kids we can help, but we're asking all our friends and family to dig deep. PLEASE DONATE if and what you can, whether it's $1, $5 OR $500 - anything helps and is greatly appreciated. We can't save the world, but with the spirit of the season - we can work hard to ensure that no kid wakes up on Christmas morning without a new toy to open. Please spread the word and help us MAKE CHRISTMAS GREAT AGAIN for those who aren't able!!!
