Operation Visit Mamaw
Donation protected
Dear Friends, This fundraiser is set up to help offset the travel expenses for Leslie Leibert (formerly Johnson) and her son, Eli, to visit Mamaw Connie Johnson who is terminally ill with lung cancer and COPD.

The Backstory
In January 2018 Mamaw Johnson slipped on a patch of ice in the parking lot before her shift at work. A scan to check for broken ribs revealed a spot on her lung that was later diagnosed as lung cancer. She was lucky to catch the cancer early, but advanced COPD hampered treatment. Recently Mamaw’s oncologist determined no more can be done to treat her cancer.

Leslie has been disabled due to illness, unable to work and virtually home bound since January 2018. She and Eli last visited Oklahoma in May 2014 and Mamaw was last able to visit Seattle in August 2016 for Eli’s 3rd birthday. In order for Leslie to be able to travel she will need assistance and Grandma Marilyn Leibert has graciously volunteered to accompany Leslie and Eli.

The Ask
Leslie and Eli are hoping to travel with Grandma Leibert to Oklahoma to see Mamaw Johnson in March and are asking your help to make the trip a reality.
Estimated costs:
*Plane ticket from Seattle to Oklahoma City $350 x 3 = $1,050
*Rental car for travel in OK for 5 days = $150
*Food and incidentals = $200
*Total: $1,400
How you can help
If you could support Operation Visit Mamaw by making a donation and then sharing it with your network, we would greatly appreciate it. We know that money can be tight, so please know that even $5 helps us get closer to our goal! Let us know if you have any questions and we'll be happy to answer them.
Words cannot adequately express how much your help will mean to Leslie, her mother, Mamaw Johnson, and the rest of the OK family. Any unused funds will be donated to Mamaw Johnson’s medical fund.
