We’re Jeremy and Kelly and we have adopted a Veteran named Tom who could really use some help.
Tom, a disabled Viet Nam combat veteran, has had a tough life. He grew up poor and abused by foster parents in rural Pennsylvania. His escape was enlisting in the US Army at the age of 18 where he was shipped off to the front lines of VietNam for a few years.
Upon return, nobody thanked Tom for his service and he returned to a life of poverty and working in the quarry. He has barely made ends meet his entire life and now suffers health and mobility issues most likely the result of exposure to Agent Orange. Tom has no family to care for him. We are it.
Jeremy, a Sergeant Major in the Army, met Tom by chance on the Buffalo Honor Flight in 2023. He and Kelly have helped care for him ever since, but need help supporting him.
Tom’s old truck was recently repossessed. It’s ironic that a man who nearly gave his life for freedom now barely has his own.
We are hoping to raise enough funds to get Tom a reliable vehicle, return his freedom and allow him to live his days with the dignity and respect he deserves!
Funds raised through Operation Tom will first go toward securing Tom a vehicle and the costs associated with getting him safely back on the road. Any remaining funds will help with basic needs that allow Tom to remain safely and independently in his home.”
Thank you for supporting Operation Tom!
