It all started with a single Instagram reel. I wanted to grow my business, First Class Cowgirl, by sharing the off-grid and ranching lifestyle in Colorado, and teaching women how they can live off-grid too. I posted a reel promising to invite someone to the ranch if I reached 17,000 followers—and it blew up. Now, with over 20,000 followers, I’ve received thousands of messages from people sharing their most heartbreaking stories and how a trip to the ranch could help them heal. Some just wanted a fun getaway, but so many others have endured real trauma—cancer, caregiving, abuse, loss, and more. I decided to select one person on May 7th and fly them out to the ranch for a life-changing experience. But then, something amazing happened: hundreds of people reached out, wanting to donate so more people could come. I’ve heard from mothers caring for sick partners, children who dream of owning a ranch, autistic kids who feel at home with animals, women rebuilding their lives, and families facing unimaginable loss. The generosity of this community has been overwhelming—people have offered to upgrade flights, buy cowboy hats and boots, and even cover airport snacks. That’s how Operation Ranch was born. My dream is to raise enough to bring 3-5 more families, couples, future ranch owners, and ranch hands (kids in high school or college) to the ranch. I want them to experience the cows, roping, riding horses, maybe even a small-town parade or rodeo. I’ll take them to the hot springs, the local chocolate shop, and treat them to a beautiful steak dinner. Our ranch sits on 75 stunning acres with 360-degree mountain views, and I want to share that beauty and peace with those who need it most. Donations will cover flights, meals, transportation, special items like custom cowboy hats or boots, and support local businesses for coffee, ice cream, and more. Funds will also help with horse care, transportation, and hiring local experts—like a team roper teaching a child to rope, or a real cowboy showing someone how to sort cows. Every donation, big or small, helps bring hope and healing to someone who truly needs it.
