Operation Patrick: Fundraiser for Limya @ Jayvon
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jeanette Richardson, and this year I’m sponsoring a family as we approach the holidays to celebrate and honor the life of my son, Patrick McKinley. This November marks the 20th anniversary of the month Patrick came home from college on fire with the issue of gun violence and how he predicted how bad things might get in America, in regards to the guns.
Patrick was a giving and caring soul, and when he was young, we sponsored a young family at Christmas time, and he helped deliver the gifts, I’ll never forget how happy he was delivering those presents!!
My focus is now on a young family in my city who came out of homelessness and into a mouse/roach infested dump of an apartment. The infestation was intense. Even to move their belongings out of the place was nearly impossible, as the infestation traveled into the vehicles of those who were helping them move..
The couple’s names are Limya and Jayvon, they are proud parents of Tyler, 4 years and Jayanna who is 1 years old.
After settling in their new apartment, they have struggled to stock up their new apartment, having lost so much of their belongings. They are challenged by the fact that their son is autistic, and is non verbal. Limya and Jayvon are loving parents who are striving every day to raise their children and break poverty’s cycle. We met organically through a Giving/support FB site, and we hit it off immediately. I now consider Limya a dear friend. Please, help me assist this family with some basics… clothes, shoes and maybe an affordable vacuum cleaner.
Any size donation, even a dollar, will help us along the way to getting this family some much needed basics for their young, beautiful family.
