This June, I’ll be heading to Ghana to volunteer with Operation Hernia International, at the Holy Family Hospital. A charity that provides life-changing surgical care in areas where access is extremely limited. As part of a small surgical team, I’ll be helping to treat patients from remote communities , many of whom suffer from hernias and other conditions that have gone untreated for years. We’ll also be providing emergency general surgery support, and running basic surgical and laparoscopic skills sessions for local trainees and medical students to help strengthen long-term surgical care in the region. This cause is close to my heart, and any support you can give , whether to help with travel, equipment, or training materials, would mean the world. Thank you so much.
