Help Payton ‘See’ the World with Assistive Smart Glasses

Hi, my name is Jucinta, and I’m the proud mum of an amazing 11-year-old girl named Payton.

Payton was born completely blind due to a rare genetic condition called Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis. She’s never had sight, and while she’s grown up adapting with strength and grace, the world around her still isn’t built with kids like her in mind.

But Payton doesn’t let that stop her.

She’s curious, adventurous, and fiercely independent. Now, as she prepares for her upcoming school camp, she wants to join in the fun — exploring, learning, and laughing alongside her classmates, just like any 11-year-old would.

That’s where assistive smart glasses come in. These incredible glasses use real-time AI to describe the world around her: identifying objects, reading signs, and even telling her who’s nearby. With them, Payton could move through the world with more independence, confidence, and joy.

Sadly, the NDIS does not currently fund this kind of technology, even though it could be life-changing for Payton.

We’re fundraising to purchase a pair of these glasses so Payton can take them to camp — and far beyond — as she continues growing into the independent, brave young person she already is.

Every donation helps, no matter how small. Thank you so much for helping Payton open up her world.

With gratitude,
Jucinta
