Open-heart Surgery Newborn Parents Need Help

Hi, my name Lakisha Murphy. I am the great aunt of Amiah Rose Armstrong. Baby Amiah was born on 23 November 2022. On Monday, 28 November 2022, she had to undergo open heart surgery due to defective heart. Things took a turn when a blood clot was discovered just before her chest was to be closed, further complicating her road to recovery. The mother and father have been in the hospital with their first child since birth and are projected to be there at least until the end of January. Up to this point, the parents have been unable to work. Therefore, the grandparents have been providing as much financial support as possible, in addition to trying to maintain their own financial responsibilities. And, more financial support is needed to alleviate the stress so that the parents can focus on Baby Amiah. Amiah's father is a commercial truck driver and is projected to return to work very soon and will have to travel over three hours to visit his daughter and the baby's mother in the hospital. Consequently, the illness of Baby Amiah has the potential of being a distraction while the father would drive the commercial vehicle. So, the funds will be used to cover hotel expenses, food, gas, and the parent's household expenses.
