Help Support Jaxon’s Heart Journey – April 2025 Update
Hi, I’m Sarah – Andrea Hodge’s (older and wiser!) sister. Many of you may remember the incredible journey we shared with my nephew, Jaxon Xander Wadsworth, born on September 10, 2021, with a rare and serious heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).
In 2022, your outpouring of love and generosity helped support Jaxon through his earliest surgeries and hospital stays at Boston Children’s Hospital. Because of your kindness, Andrea and Jay could stay near the hospital, keep life steady, and focus on Jaxon’s care — and it made all the difference.
Now, Jaxon is back at Boston Children’s for his next major open-heart surgery, scheduled for Monday, April 14th, 2025.
He’s still that same wicked-strong little fighter — now an energetic toddler who’s brought so much joy to everyone who meets him. And in 2023, the family grew with the arrival of his little brother, Maxwell, adding even more love (and a little extra chaos!) to the mix.
But the need for support is just as urgent as it was in year one. The logistics of caring for a medically complex child, while navigating hospital stays, long travel days (they’re 6 hours round trip from Boston), and maintaining two households, are incredibly demanding.
Here’s how your support helps:
- Covers travel expenses and groceries for hospital stays
- Helps maintain housing near the hospital
- Eases the burden so Andrea and Jay can stay focused on Jaxon and Maxwell
- Shows them they’re not alone on this journey
We’re asking for your help again — to lift this amazing family up as Jaxon takes on his next big fight.
Please donate if you’re able, share this story, and keep Jaxon in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of support, no matter the size, helps carry them forward.
Jaxon is a warrior. A miracle. My hero. And with your help, he’s not walking this road alone.
With love and gratitude,
Sarah
