Opal Rose 10 mile walk!

Hi everyone! My name is Opal Rose, i’m an 18 year old drag artist from North Wales.

On April the 20th i will be walking 10 miles in FULL DRAG to raise money for two important charities. That’s right, full drag. The makeup, wig, pads, outfit and HEELS✨.

The two charities i will be raising money for are Stonewall housing and Halton Haven hospice❤️.

The first charity is Stonewall housing. Stonewall housing is the UKs leading national charity for all LGBTQ+ individuals experiencing homelessness or living in an unsafe environment. The charity was founded in 1983 and is still going strong. They advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals who are in an unsafe space, they provide specialist housing advice and support for people who are homeless or at risk. They also have specialists who can provide support and help for mental health issues, domestic abuse and substance abuse. Since the charity was founded they have supported tens of thousands of individuals. In 2025 alone they have had 31+ referrals a week. The reason i have chosen this charity is because i strongly believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home. I also believe that everyone should have the right to be who they are without fear of judgement or worse❤️.

The second charity i have decided to raise money for is Halton Haven Hospice. Halton Haven hospice is based in Runcorn. The hospice has been open since 1981 and provides free specialist palliative care to individuals suffering with terminal conditions. The hospice provides physical, psychological and emotional help to all their patients. The reason i have chosen this hospice is because it holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve watched families power through very emotional and difficult situations. Raising money for this hospice means more support for patients and it will help the community who have family members suffering. By raising money for this charity i will be proudly be playing my smallest part in supporting these families. I can’t begin to imagine the grief and pain some of the families feel.
