It is with a heavy heart that one of our own has passed away from COVID-19. We were the first unit and continue to be caring for these patients. Alex was a dedicated, compassionate, hard working individual. He worked at LIJMC for over 30 years. He leaves behind a wife and 3 young children. He could never come to work early or leave later because his family was his priority. He always talked about his boys. We are devastated for his family and want to help them in every way we can.
