One Tree Hill CFS - City 2 Bay 12km

My name is Jenn Thomson and on the 16th of September I will be running the 12km City to Bay fun run. 

I would like to take this as an opportunity to raise funds towards the One Tree Hill CFS, the brigade my husband has been a volunteer for over 7 years. 

Firefighters of the CFS are all volunteers and do not get paid to give up their time and risk their lives to protect and save others. They work in Extreme weather conditions while we are in the comfort of our homes, they work through the night while we are asleep in our beds, they travel vast distances while we spend time with our families. It takes a special kind of person to do these things all for the satisfaction of saving and protecting others. 

They dedicate at least one day a week to sharpen their skills and preparedness, maintain trucks & upkeep the station. On top of this there is multiple training courses spread out throughout the year that they can volunteer to attend to give themselves higher levels of training.

The government helps towards the basics to keep the station going but if they want new, improved or updated equipment this comes from donations made towards them. 

I would like to help raise money towards the OTH CFS to ensure when they are out there protecting and saving houses, properties, national parks & peoples lives that they have the greatest advantage possible.
