As many of you know, our lovely Nan, Lorna is facing a challenging time. In tribute to her strength and inspiration, we - Becky, Laura, Ellie, and Emma are fundraising for her chosen charity, The Good Soil. Good Soil offers supported housing and a fresh start for adults recovering from addiction, homelessness, poor mental health, or challenges with crime. This local charity is incredibly important to Nan and she found out about it through her church community and has donated items to them over the years.
While our initial focus is raising funds for the good soil charity, the invaluable support St Richard’s Hospice are currently providing to Nan and our family means a great deal. St Richard's also previously provided palliative care for her husband, our Pops, making their work incredibly important to us.
As a result, we have decided that all proceeds from our fundraising event on 30th August (details to follow) will be divided equally between both charities.
To honour nan and support her chosen charities, the four of us will be walking from Old Northwick Stables all the way to Snowdonia, and on the Sunday, we will be climbing Mount Snowdon.
Every step of this journey is dedicated to raising funds and we are grateful for any donation, no matter the size.
