Hey Boys,
I need your help — one of our own is down.
My good friend Marquis needs a hand.
I’ve been flat broke finishing the Traverse prototypes — $40k in debt and $0 in the bank — spending most of my time at the skatepark. That’s where I met Marquis. Yesterday he called me, just asking if he could take a shower and wash his clothes. That’s it.
I was an hour away and couldn’t get there, so I sent him what I could — a Planet Fitness membership and some Apple Pay so he could clean up.
Right now, he’s living above the recreation room at the skatepark.
It’s killing me to see him keep reaching out for help and getting ignored. I’ve done everything I can, but I’m tapped out.
Last night I scraped together $500 and started looking for a car for him. But a $500 hooptie isn’t going to change his life. I want to get him something reliable — a car he can sleep in, get to work, and start rebuilding from.
Goal: $3,500
That’ll get him a decent car and give him a real shot at learning a trade — a path off the street for good.
About Marquis:
He grew up in Newport without a dad. His mom left the area, and he’s been on his own since. Everyone in town knows him — he’s got the biggest heart and the best personality. But life’s been rough. He’s not lazy — just worn down.
If you saw what he’s been through, you’d understand. No one deserves to be forgotten.
I’m asking our community — the Traverse boys, the skaters, the riders, the builders — to come together for one of our own.
Even $10 helps. Let’s get him back on his feet.
Much love,
Aaron
Marquis we got you!
