One million stars to end violence Drogheda
As part of the One Million Stars to end violence campaign started in 2012 we are weaving one million stars nationwide as part of the Amber women's refuge #Amberstars to raise awareness of domestic violence.
The One Million Stars to End Violence project was started by Maryann Talia Pau, a weaving artist currently based in Brisbane.
Siobhan McQuillan, an art therapist, working with Amber Women's Refuge brought the project to Kilkenny.
Catherine Baker contacted Siobhan and brought the project to Drogheda in partnership with Kilkenny and the Amber Women's refuge.
These beautiful stars are symbols of light, courage and solidarity to end all forms of violence, including violence against women, bullying and racism.
Donations will fund the purchase of ribbon to weave stars and installations of stars.
