Millions of nurses in the U.S. are at risk and needing essential items to protect them as they guide patients in their care. The COVID19 pandemic caught our nation off guard with shortages leaving simple items like hand sanitizer hard to find let alone purchase for our angels of mercy.
Watching our nurses in need, moved Sopiea Mitchell, Owner and Cosmetic Chemist of 3toZen, to develop a hand sanitizer that was cost-effective and produced quickly. As a skin care consultant, she knew all too well the feasibility of generating a hand protectant that could be used multiple times and would not leave their hands dry and irritated. Expressing her concerns to marketing consultant, Marsha Harrison, they knew in order to make this a no-cost offering they had to get it to the hands of nurses directly.
They plan to raise funds for the raw materials and produce and distribute hand sanitizers to the millions of nurses who need it. To support the outreach to nurses, they enlisted the help of Leslie Silket, an RN, educator, and President of the Nurse’s Children Foundation. She found trusted individuals that could distribute the hand sanitizer to nurses. With these key points in place and a group of professionals donating their time to the cause, the Hand to Hand Coast to Coast project was set into motion and in the process of securing a 501c3 status as Hands Deliver.
This pandemic has caused uncertainty with medical staff fighting their own battles to treat those in their care. Omar Bolden, Cornerback with the Super Bowl 50 winning Denver Broncos knows all too well how tragedy can strike. His family was affected by the coronavirus disease. This compelled him to join forces with the Hand to Hand Coast to Coast project and make a difference.
This is the Year of the Nurse! The Hand to Hand Coast to Coast project wants to give free personal all-in-one Nurses Care hand sanitizers to the nurses that need them. Help us by donating to Hands Deliver's Hand to Hand Coast to Coast project. There are millions of nurses; let's get it in their hands.
