I left my job to bike solo across Canada — from Central Alberta to Halifax — with a packed tour bicycle, a camera, and a pink stuffed bear named Wilson.
This isn’t just a bike ride.
It’s a spiritual pilgrimage. A charity mission.
And the most absurd story I’ve ever lived — but also the truest.
Why I’m Doing This
There’s a point where you stop pretending not to know your truth.
That moment came for me — and this ride is the result.
I’m riding to raise funds and awareness for My First Bicycle Foundation, a CRA-registered nonprofit that believes all youth should experience the freedom, confidence, and joy of having their own bicycle.
Physical activity and sports give kids opportunities to grow — not just physically and mentally, but in character, resilience, and connection.
But I’m also riding to show what happens when we follow the whisper that says, go.
Why $30,000?
This amount aligns with my estimated personal committed costs for the journey. Many of these costs are for gear and supplies I’ve purchased to own — items that will serve a lifetime of use, while enhancing a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
This fundraiser isn’t to pay me back — it’s to give forward.
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 to support this mission.
Funds go directly to My First Bicycle Foundation through GoFundMe’s secure system.
This isn’t an official partnership — but it’s aligned in heart and purpose.
Our first milestone is $5,000 — enough to fund 25 bikes.
Let’s begin there and let the current carry us further.
A Note on Trust
I hold no expectations.
Expectations limit what the higher mind can deliver.
This isn’t about hoping — it’s about showing up, riding with an open heart, and trusting what flows.
Whether this campaign raises $400 or $400,000 — I’ll ride the same.
If this story touches even one person, that’s already enough.
Thank you for witnessing this.
Thank you for riding with me — whether you donate, share, or simply believe.
