-ENGLISH VERSION-
Let’s help her build a brighter future.
This time I’m reaching out to you for something very close to my heart.
You all know the school in Cambodia, many of you have supported it in the past, and together we’ve already changed the lives of so many kids. But today I want to tell you the story of one girl in particular. Her name is Kim Lëāng.
I met her when she was only a little girl. She lived at the school with her baby sister because their family simply couldn’t feed them, let alone send them to school. As the eldest, Kim had to help with cooking and cleaning while taking every opportunity she could to study english with us volunteers. Over the years, I watched her work, learn and grow into a kind, determined and resilient girl despite the challenges she faced.
Now she’s a young woman and she’s achieved what once seemed impossible…
She made it to university.
She is the first in her family to do so.
And every day, she fights to keep her dream alive.
Her dream? To become an English teacher, something she has wanted since the first time she stepped into that school.
But we all know that not everyone is given the same chances and opportunities in life. She’s already doing everything she possibly can on her own. She wakes up at dawn to study from 7 AM to 12pm, then works in a restaurant from 2 PM to 10 PM, every day. She barely has two days off a month, makes only 150 dollars monthly salary, spends 45 dollars for a tiny room and everything else goes towards her 900-dollar yearly university fees.
But the truth is simple: no one can work this hard and study full-time
without support.
This is where we can make a real difference.
Let’s help her finish university.
Let’s turn her determination into opportunity.
Let’s make her story one where effort truly pays off.
Let’s make sure the little girl who once lived in a school just to be able to study becomes the teacher she has always dreamed to be.
Let's help her break generational poverty.
This isn’t charity.
It’s a chance to help her effort become the future she’s fighting for.
It’s the belief that where you are born should never decide how big your dreams can be.

-VERSIONE ITALIANA-
Aiutiamola a terminare l’università.
