Hello everyone, my name is Tayee, a full-time mom and employee.

I’m reaching out because me and my three children are in a difficult situation and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest times in our lives. I’m a single mother of three beautiful kids, ages 11, 8, and 3, and due to the rising cost of living and having little to no support, we’ve been struggling to secure stable housing.

For the past two months, we’ve been doing everything we can just to get by. I’ve spent what I have on hotel stays, renting rooms when possible, and unfortunately, we’ve even had nights where we had no choice but to sleep in my car. Through all of this, my children have missed far more school than they should, and that weighs heavily on me every day.

I no longer receive food assistance, so I’m covering all of our basic needs completely out of pocket. Living day to day while trying to keep a roof over our heads has been exhausting financially and emotionally. I’ve been doing everything I can, and I’ve finally found an apartment that I can afford monthly for me and my kids.

If I’m able to come up with the first month’s rent and/or security deposit by June 1st, me and my babies will finally have a stable and permanent place to call home. We are so close, and this would give us the fresh start we truly need.
