Hi everyone,

As many of you may already know, our beautiful niece Cora has been diagnosed with a type of kidney disease. Unfortunately, Cora now requires a kidney transplant within the next six months, and her incredible dad, Ryan, has been confirmed as her donor.

This will undoubtedly be one of the most challenging times for their family, emotionally, physically, and financially. Ryan will be off work for 2-3months during his recovery, and Ashlene will be juggling hospital visits between both her husband and daughter, all while caring for their other children.

As Cora’s extended family here in Australia, the Connolly family and friends are coming together to do what we can to ease the burden. While we couldn't be there in person to support we want to show Ryan, Ashlene & family what family truly means even when distance makes it hard, by launching this GoFundMe to help them through the months ahead.

We know times are tough for everyone, and we don’t expect much, but any donation, big or small, will go a long way to give this amazing family a bit of breathing space and comfort.

To help raise awareness and funds, over 13 (and counting of us will be taking on the Tough Mudder 15K obstacle course in NSW on September 6th, and we also have six kids (Under 14) who will be taking on the 1.5K kids’ event. We’re excited, we’re motivated, and most importantly, we’re doing this for Cora.

This is about family, love, and showing Ryan, Ashlene, and the kids that no matter how far away we are, we’ve got their backs when life throws them a curveball.
