One Child Mission Trip 2023 - Slater Family

My name is Eric Slater. My daughters, Lena and Marlo, and I are planning to join Heartland Church and One Child Matters for a mission trip to Moca, Dominican Republic.

Lena and Marlo are in 11th grade. This is their first opportunity to serve in international missions. They have been engaged in local missions for ten years. They serve frequently each month throughout the year.

We will be serving the community of Moca, helping at the school we sponsor, and will visit our sponsor child. Our goals are to share the gospel of Christ and spend time with the children and families we sponsor in Moca.

We have been sponsoring a little girl with One Child for 4 years and we plan to visit her on this trip. One Mission is a wonderful opportunity for one family to sponsor one child to invest in their education and spiritual health. We get to correspond one to one with our sponsor child.

Our trip will cost $2400/person.

$1,400 of that cost is airfare.

Our goal is to raise $7,200.

These funds would cover our expenses and allow us to make an investment in One Child in the city of Moca.
