​​For over a decade, the WSO has been reaching out to communities across Canada to increase awareness about abuse and violence against women.

The One Billion Rising initiative is a call to action in response to the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women will face some form of abuse in their lifetime. That is over 1 billion women and girls that will face domestic abuse, sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, or sexual exploitation.

Each year the WSO hand delivers thousands of care packages on Valentine’s Day to survivors of abuse. These care packages are put together by volunteers across Canada, with the intention of spreading a little love and support.
