We are a passionate group of architects, engineers, and enthusiasts who’ve been dreaming, designing, and building The Forest School for over six years.

Our mission? To create a school in the heart of the Ecuadorian forest that not only educates children but also protects nature, revives local traditions, and empowers communities to build a better, greener future.

The Forest School is not your typical school. Imagine classrooms nestled under bamboo structures, where cool forest breezes flow through open spaces. Picture kids learning surrounded by trees, while solar panels power their classrooms, biodigesters turn waste into energy, and rainwater is reused to nourish thriving permaculture gardens. We’ve brought together ancient passive design strategies with modern eco-materials to make this dream real.

But this isn’t just about buildings, it’s about people. In Olón, more than half of the children lack access to quality education, and many families face unstable jobs and inadequate housing. That’s why we’re not just building a school—we’re creating a hub for community resilience, with workshops on bioconstruction, food self-sufficiency, energy efficiency, and more—developed hand-in-hand with local builders, foundations, and universities.

We’ve come a long way, but now we need your help to bring this vision to life. We’re designing three main buildings—for education, facilities, and accommodation but our first big step is to build and equip the education module.
