Ollie's trip to the Danish Scout Jamboree

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

My name is Oliver, aged 16, and I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve been given the opportunity to attend the Danish Jamboree this year with my local Venturer Scouts group. This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that brings together tens of thousands of Scouts from all around the world.

Why This Matters

Its not just Scouts getting together to have fun, we participate in tons of activities including:

Leadership development
Building international friendships
Cultural exchange
Outdoor skills, teamwork, and global citizenship

Attending the Jamboree will help me grow both as a Venturer Scout and as a young member of my community. I’ll bring these new skills and experiences back home to inspire others in my troop and local community, Perhaps even convincing them to attend a future international event.

What Your Support Helps With

To attend the Jamboree, I need to raise $2500 to help with

Program and event fees
Flights and connections
Training camps and preparation events
Uniforms and gear
Food and accommodation

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Even sharing this page helps more than you know.

How You Can Help

If you are able, please consider:

Donating to my fundraiser

Sharing this page with friends, family, and anyone who supports Scouting

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and consider supporting my journey. This opportunity is important to me, and i am grateful for any help you can give. I can’t wait to represent our community in Denmark and bring back unforgettable memories and new leadership skills.

From Ollie

Ps there is more info below, taken from the promotional powerpoint, if you want to learn more:

"Approximately every four years, all Scouts from the Danish and international scout movement are invited to scout camp – the largest scout camp in the Nordic countries with over 30,000 participants and another 500,000 guests visiting the camp.

Imagine thousands of tents in every colour and size as far as the I can see. Between the tents are ingenious rough structures with hammocks, raised fire pits, tables and large welcome gates used by the 30,000 scouts at the camp.

During the day, the Scouts are out doing some of the more than 300 fun an educational activities, while the smoke rises from hundreds of small cooking fires in the evening as groups work together to prepare the food.

After dinner, the day is evaluated together as the peace and quiet settles in before a new day of adventure begins. This is what a Scout camp looks like for most participants.

We will celebrate the spirit of scouting and community while we create memories to last a lifetime."
