Ollie Taylor - ALL Leukaemia Sufferer
Donation protected
This is Ollie Taylor, a funny and mischievous 3 year old (with quite an attitude at times ) who lives in Stretham, Cambridgeshire with his Mum, Samantha, his Dad, Lee, and older brother Max, who is 5. His favourite activity is playing cars and monster trucks with Max.
Ollie had been complaining of pain in his knees and struggling to walk, which his Mum suspected might be growing pains, but booked an appointment with the GP on Tuesday 4th April at 2pm for piece of mind. By 6pm that evening Ollie was referred to Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge, for X-rays and bloods, where it was discovered in the early hours of Wednesday morning that Ollie has leukemia!
Samantha works as an Administrator and Lee is a self employed Carpenter.
Samantha will need to take a minimum of 6 months out of work to care for Ollie during his initial chemotherapy. The first stage of a 2 year treatment plan, which may follow with a bone marrow transplant and blood transfusions, whilst Lee will need to reduce his hours to be able to care and be with their eldest son Max.
Obviously emotonally this has effected the family tremendously but also this will have a huge financial impact, due to the loss of earnings.
This page has been created to help support the family financially, to enable them to focus all of their attention on their children, rather than having the added pressure of trying to cope with juggling being with their sons and making sure all of their bills are paid.
