Hi my name is mark and the proud dad of Olli spiller !

Last year Olli was 15 years old and really

unwell Around Easter and just not getting better . Mothers intuition Led Sarah my wife to get Olli back to the doctors and checked over. We were advised the same day to get to Newcastle RVI immediately, we were told explicitly before we got there Olli had possible sepsis or Leukemia!

What a journey no family

Should ever have to take! But little

did we know at this time this was the start of a huge courageous journey ,many rounds of chemotherapy & his successful Bone marrow transplant is now etched into our minds on the 11th September 2025 and we are fast approaching his first re BIRTHDAY! We want to make a fuss about this anniversary and share what Olli’s been successfully doing

one huge thing that got us through the best part of 6 months LITERALLY living in hospital was comedy on tv such as “Would I live to you” and “last one laughing” with genius comedians including Bob Mortimer, David Mitchell, Sam Campbell, Richard Ayoade

he’s just smashed his GCSE’s but he hasn’t been back to school since Easter of Year 10. He sat all his GCSE’a whilst shielding in our very own kitchen with an exam invigilator supporting him. He’s gained 6 out of 6 including a grade 7 (A) In maths plus all others as passes too! We are super proud of him along with recovering well and receiving a trophy from school for his courage ! The boys out hero! He’s much loved by mam and dad , his older sister Eve , younger brother George and full extended family and friends!

He’s keen, optimistic, and 100% committed to raising awareness and beating this illness. His goal?
