Hello everyone! My name is Olivia DeRosa and I am a software engineer at Google in NYC. 

I am raising money for my volunteer trip to Athens, Greece (sponsored by Google through effect.org) to help Syrian Refugees.

This trip costs $5500 per volunteer to attend. Thankfully, Google is amazing and pays 50% of that amount. 

The funds I am requesting will cover the other $2750 fundraising fee to go on the trip. Anything over that amount will contribute to my flight and anything beyond that will be donated straight to effect.org (I doubt we will get there, but that would be amazing!!!). 

I am extremely thankful for any donation, no matter how small.

The funds will be withdrawn into a personal account and then immediately into the effect.org account that I have to pay before the trip.
