Olivia Faces Eviction After LA Fires Take Her Job
Donation protected
My name is Amanda Ray and I am raising money to support my parents neighbor, 70 year old Olivia Rangel, avoid losing her home on May 31. My parents, George and Betty Ray, met Olivia when they moved into Olivia’s apartment building last year. A 25 year resident, Olivia is a kind, sweet woman who has always worked hard to make ends meet. She's a talented hair and nail specialist who has served clients, until recently, in Pacific Palisades for many years.
The Crisis
The recent devastating fire in Pacific Palisades has turned Olivia's life upside down. Her place of employment was destroyed, and most of her elderly clients have moved away. Olivia relies on her social security income and her work to pay her rent, and now, her income is no longer enough. She's facing eviction and a very uncertain future.
Olivia's Situation:
Olivia is in a difficult position. She makes just enough to not qualify for most aid programs, but not enough to cover her rent. She has applied for grants related to the Pacific Palisades fire, but those funds have already been allocated. Without immediate help, she will be forced out of her apartment. Recently, she also lost her dog of 15 years, leaving her even more alone during this challenging time.
How Your Donations Will Help:
We are asking for your help to raise at least $4,000 to support Olivia while she searches for new employment. These funds will provide her with a safety net to cover her rent and essential expenses, preventing her from becoming homeless. She is actively seeking jobs in the senior care industry, but it will take time for her to be hired and receive her first paycheck.
A Little About Olivia:
Olivia is more than just a neighbor; she's a valued member of our community. She's always been there for us, and now she needs our help. She's a loving person who deserves a chance to stay in her home.
Call to Action:
Please consider donating to help Olivia stay in her home. Every dollar will make a difference. Please also share this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. Your support will mean the world to Olivia and to us.
