Oliver’s Nepal 2020 Poverty Reduction Expedition
Donation protected
I am Oliver and am embarking on an expedition to Nepal in 2020 with Global Action . The aim of the trip is to carry out volunteer poverty reduction work like installing sanitation or building schools, as well as learning more about the Nepalese culture and wildlife conservation work.
Global Action supports learning for positive global change through tailored school expeditions and professional internships and provides participants the opportunity to experience the life and culture in Nepal and to carry out community-based projects to support the local community. This is an opportunity which I am really excited to be part of.
I am a student in Newport, Shropshire and will be travelling with a group of students from my school and another school in Newport, in July 2020.
Part of the expedition is to is to raise money to fund the trip expenses. The primary aim is to raise the cost of the trip (£3150) but in the event that any additional sums are raised then the money will be used in the following ways in the order set out below:
1. expenses related to fundraising activities (e.g. prizes or raffle ticket production)
2. ‘kit’ expenses e.g walking boots
3. Donation to local Nepalese charities
Follow my page "Oliver Nepal 2020" on Facebook for regular updates!
I hope you’ll agree this is an amazing cause and an amazing opportunity to do some fantastic volunteer work which will have a lasting impact on the lives of the communities we support in Nepal.
Any donation you can make, however big or small, will be gratefully received.
Thank you you for your generosity and support.
