Hi all, my wife Claire and I decided last year to try and run the Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon. We’ve never really been runners but thought let’s give this a go and try and raise some money for some charities close to our hearts.

We’ve stuck to a 16 week training programme and it’s becoming more challenging each week, few minor injuries picked up along the way but we’re determined to get round to support these charities.

Sarah Jackson Community Wish was created in memory of a close friend of ours, Sarah Jackson who tragically lost her life in August 2023. Her family and friends set about creating a charity to help out those in need within our local community in Otley. Claire spent many years working at Leeds General Infirmary on the Neuro HDU ward and we would like to also raise funds for The National Brain Appeal.

The National Brain Appeal raises funds to advance treatment and research at The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology – together known as 'Queen Square’
