OJR ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM HONORING RON PEARSON

Now that the OJR School Board has approved the naming of the high school athletic training room in honor of Ron Pearson, there one more step!  Next, our community will need to raise the money for the plaque and installation.  Ron Pearson was the first athletic trainer for the Owen J. Roberts school district from 1968 through 2003.  Mr. Pearson served as not only the athletic trainer for all high school and middle school sports but in the classroom and oversaw adaptive gym class.  That was just the beginning of the impact that Mr. Pearson had on the students and athletes during his teaching career.  He was a teacher, a mentor, a friend and many, many times the life line to so many high school students as they navigate life as a teenager through three decades!  He was a pioneer in his field and was recognized for his dedication and commitment not just by the OJR students but by his peers regionally.
