Most of you know our story, but I'm gonna tell it anyway.
For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a mom. I wanted to start young and have 5 kids, 3 at least. Steven and I got married crazy young he was 18, I was 19 and we wanted to start a family right away, you know beacuse we were young and we didn't know any better. We spent years before our marriage and all the years through our marriage praying and believing for children.
Fast forward 13 long painful childless years, sorry for the drama but it was hard, we were given an opportunity to adopt our sweet girl, Emma Grace. It was such a miracle the way it all worked out. I got to be in the delivery room when Emma was born. I got to be a part of the process the whole way through...so very amazing! The birth mother is an incredible woman and the sacrifice she made was great to get our girl to us. Words can never express my graditude to these women who have to make this impossible decision. So brave and selfless.
Emma is now 3 and we have been talking and praying with her about having a brother for quite some time. Not really knowing when that would happen, but just believing that it will, at some point. Now she also wants a sister and a brother, at the same time, but I think she will be fine with just the brother for now. We tell her how she was carried in our hearts and not in mommy's tummy and how she can carry her brother in her heart with us the way we carried her. So, we are all carrying him together in our hearts.
So on to what's going on now...
I received a call from the lawyer that handled our adoption with Emma. She has someone that needs a home for her baby. She is due in 6 weeks! Eeek! That is not a lot of time to come up with that kind of money. Not to mention, all things baby which I no longer have due to absolutley no storage in my house! So we need some help if anyone is interested in giving, but also the prayers will help tremendously. If anyone has baby boy stuff to unload that'd be amazing as well.
We are on a deadline, we need to retain the lawyer and start with the home study right away. Our first installment of $2200 is due on Friday March 13th. This seems overwhelming but I know nothing is too big for our God!
Thank you to everyone who has prayed, cried and believed with us through our journey all these years! We are so grateful for each one of you!
