My Volunteer Trip to India

I am thrilled to have just been accepted as a volunteer on a program through the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). The program is called the Gabriel Mumbai Project which is a service mission to Mumbai, India working together with local organizations to teach literacy, health and nutrition in the slums. I hope that by working with these children I can participate in improving their future and the future of our world.  

In addition, I will be joining with, learning about and helping the local Jewish community. It is a 2 month program focusing on social justice and humanitarian aid through a Jewish lens.

The funds will be used to help me with my airfare and food while in India. My trip is from June 13- August 7.
