Officer Lewis Deserves Our Support

A dedicated correctional professional with almost 5 years of experience Khalil Lewis is in need of your help. In addition Khalil Lewis has 10 years of experience in private security working local establishments, venues, and personal protection. Mr Lewis is also devoted to the local wrestling, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and training athletes and adults at FAME strength. Activity training adults, local youths and local law enforcement in the art of wrestling, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and strength and performance. Khalil Lewis is a dedicated family man and friend. When I first met Khalil we went from strangers to partners to brothers. Myself and Lewis have spent many hours as partners on a housing unit inside the walls as well as many hours on the mats training in the art of Brazilian jiu jitsu. I have attended multiple local seminars for Jiu Jitsu for law enforcement with Lewis @ Bad Company BJJ. I have witnessed my brother hold himself to the highest standards for our law enforcement community and local youths. Officer Lewis is a shining example of what a LE professional should be as well as a great example for what our youths should strive to be. On behalf of Officer Lewis, my brother, I’m asking for your help in this time of need.

On a Morning in July of 2024 Officer Lewis was working an overtime on a day off conducting a meal relief when an incident occurred on a housing unit. The officer working the housing unit that morning informed Officer Lewis that an inmate was committing self harm. Officer Lewis acted accordingly based on the information he was given by that officer. Officer Lewis responded immediately to assist with the situation while ensuring all the proper steps were taken while doing his job. Unfortunately the information given to Officer Lewis at that time by the regular officer on the unit was false. Due to the actions of the inmates involved and the improper steps taken by the regular unit officer, Officer Lewis became a scapegoat for the incident that occurred. This incident led to Officer Lewis being shamed both publicly and professionally. Officer Lewis is currently suspended without pay and his life has changed in a moments notice drastically deterring him from accomplishing his personal and professional goals. I know Officer Lewis has had to make drastic sacrifices and changes to his current way of life that has placed him in a financial bind. I’m asking for any and all help for my brother in his time of need.
