Our Story – Standing Up Against a Threat to Democracy

We’re ordinary Connecticut citizens who have watched Donald Trump wield presidential power as if he were a monarch—ignoring constitutional limits, pressuring officials, and encouraging moves that erode our democratic safeguards. Inspired by this danger, we are organizing a peaceful No Kings protest at the State Capitol on October 18th to demand that elected leaders respect the Constitution, uphold checks and balances, and reject any authoritarian playbook.

This is our chance to engage with people who are similarly inspired, to talk to them about what they can do to fight back. There are so many ways that you can help.
