On behalf of the Redwood Coast Recreation Center, we are reaching out to you today with an urgent and critical need—one that impacts not only the future of Ocean Ridge Park Disc Golf Course but the safety of our entire community here on the coast.

Ocean Ridge Park is a beloved public recreational space and Disc golf course, providing countless hours of recreation and enjoyment for families, hikers, and nature lovers. We’ve made significant progress in the parks development, but our next, essential step is now within our grasp: hooking up our existing well to a water storage tank to make it a fully operational system.

The Project: More Than Just Water

We are seeking to raise $30,000 to complete the final plumbing and electrical connections for our water system. This isn't just about turning on a tap; it’s about securing the future of the park and providing a critical safety net for the neighborhood.

This investment will immediately accomplish two vital goals:

* 1. Secure Our Future (Vesting the Use Permit): Completing the water system is the final requirement for the park to permanently vest its use permit for Ocean Ridge Park. This secures the park's ability to keep making improvements and working towards our goal of a large multi use pavilion for the community.

* 2. Crucial Fire Safety and Community Resilience: Ocean Ridge Park is surrounded by residential homes. The operational water storage tank will provide a readily available, high-volume water resource for emergency use, significantly enhancing the fire safety measures for the entire community. In our vulnerable coastal environment, this is not just a convenience—it's a necessity.

We must raise the remaining $30,000 as quickly as possible to meet deadlines and complete this foundational work before the next fire season. We have different fundraising strategies going at the same time but if we could raise a bit more through disc golfers contributing to go fund me
