Oldham Athletic Supporters' Foundation have worked closely with the club over recent weeks to help shape season ticket prices that keep costs as affordable as possible for supporters, while still protecting the long‑term financial sustainability of the club. We’re especially pleased to see the introduction of new family ticket options, and we encourage all supporters to get behind the team in 2026-27.
However, for many people in our local community, football remains a luxury they simply cannot afford. We understand that family finances are often stretched and a season ticket is not always within reach. We are therefore once again launching our appeal for donations to enable us to buy season tickets for those unable to afford one.
When we ran the scheme last season, we raised over £4,000 to help disadvantaged supporters purchase season tickets for our first season back in the EFL. With additional support from the club, we purchased 22 season tickets — our highest ever. Two were awarded to Charlotte Simpkins and her five-year-old son, Tommy, following the passing of Mark “Waddy” Wadsworth shortly before the play-off final. A lifelong Latics supporter, Waddy’s legacy lives on through his son, who received a season ticket for his father’s old seat in the Main Stand with Charlotte telling us: "Thank you so much. I hope you know just how appreciative we are to you and all the supporters who donated. Watching Latics was always Tommy and Mark's bonding time, so I didn’t really go. Seeing Tommy at Latics shows me just how much they have enjoyed it together and now I can make sure that their passion and joy is continued. It's very emotional sitting in Mark's seat, but we are with people that knew and loved him. They are all so welcoming and really look after me and Tommy. OAFC is such a lovely community.”
In the past, we've also received lovely comments such as:
“I just wanted to send a heartfelt email to everyone at OASF, the generous supporters who made it possible and anyone else whose involvement meant he was able to get his first ever season ticket.”
“Last season was absolutely brilliant and I can’t thank you guys enough for helping me and my little lad out, you guys are doing a brilliant job and keep the faith ⚽⚽Thank you, a million times over."
“Thank you for the season ticket, it was amazing! My husband loved it and was so thankful for the gift you gave him. The work you do is just amazing, again thank you so much!!”
Let's build on our new-found success together. Let's bring more joy to fellow supporters. Please donate if you can.
