My name is Allan Arnera and I’m currently in IBDP 1 (International Baccalaureate first year). As part of the program, I am very motivated to fulfill my CAS, therefore I’d like to present my project.
First of all, what is CAS? CAS stands for Creativity, Action and Service, these 3 elements must be incorporated into a project which is beneficial for the society but also educationally and morally rewarding for the student.
My project will be a 2-week humanitarian mission in Cordoba, Argentina where I will work on the human rights issues within the nation and interact with locals in order to provide help. The areas I will explore will be: education and awareness, human rights monitoring, and abuse resolution.
Day-to-day tasks will involve:
• Interviewing victims/perpetrators of human rights abuses
• Academic research and reporting
• Out-of-office fieldwork, including outreach projects with abused women and children's shelters, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and disadvantaged communities
• Presentations to local communities
• Attending and planning for human rights related conferences, workshops and public debates
As part of the project, I must finance this humanitarian mission on my own and I wish to contribute to the development and running of PAHRO (Projects Abroad Human Rights Office) in Cordoba.
This is my third project of this kind. In 2009 when I was only 8 years old I raised $2000 to provide school supplies for a school on a remote island in Vanuatu.

In 2014, I raised with my class 6854€ for a foundation helping young children with a rare cancer.

Thank you for your attention and contribution, I will keep you informed on the fundraising campaign, the progress of my mission and the use of funds.
