This is my Daughter Aaliyah...
Our baby was having a baby... Its a boy... 22 years old...
However 2 months postpartum Aaliyah had severe pain, and swelling in her right leg and on 12/21/2021 she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma ( an extremely rare cancer that affects less than 1,000 people a year in the US and that originates in the bone forming cells.) Aaliyah went through extensive chemotherapy and underwent surgery to remove the tumor and was SUCCESSFUL! As she began to finally live a semi normal life she got pregnant with her second son and began to feel uneasy about her leg and when they went in for a followup she got devasting news that the cancer had come back. SInce she was pregnant and in excruciating pain she made the decision to have her leg amputated so she can finally live a normal life with her boys, then baby Khaza was born and we were overhwhlmed with joy, however Aaliyah then began suffering from neck and back pain. The pain was so severe she went to the hospital to see what was going on. The doctor then told her "i cant give you anything, you removed the cancer in your leg so (and i quote) POOF cancer is gone"! Desperate to know why she was in so much pain she went back again and when her MRI results came in she got the heartbreaking news that she has serveral tumors in her neck and back.
Aaliyah is my first baby and we wouldnt be asking if this wasnt needed. Medical expesnises are high and on top of the medical bills she also has her family and although her husband does what he can its not enough because he does care for her 24/7.
