Dear friends and family,

I am undertaking my Eagle Scout Project with Scout Troop 43 of Oakdale, California, and currently a Life Scout who has been part of the organization for a decade. I chose a project that gives back to my community by undertaking to add an Afghanistan War slab at the Veterans Memorial in William A. Fish Park. It is named after Oakdale's first Vietnam casualty. This place offers a peaceful space for reflection, gratitude, and tribute to those who have sacrificed for our freedom.

This project is proudly supported by the Oakdale Veterans Club, and the Oakdale Lions Club Foundation—two incredible organizations dedicated to improving our community and honoring those who have served.
