Help Bring Sebastian Home
I never thought I’d be writing something like this. I don’t usually ask for help, and I rarely speak publicly about family matters — but right now the worry is overwhelming, and we don’t know what else to do.
Sebastian is currently in Vietnam, where what started as a sudden medical emergency has turned into something far more serious. He underwent emergency surgery to remove his appendix, and since then he has suffered severe complications, including kidney failure, requiring dialysis, alongside ongoing infections. He remains under hospital care, and the situation is still incredibly worrying.
Medical costs are mounting daily. On top of this, Sebastian has a flat in Vietnam that urgently needs to be cleaned, packed up, and vacated, adding further unexpected expenses at an already frightening time.
Our biggest priority is to get Sebastian safely back to England, where he can recuperate, recover, and be close to family while continuing the treatment he desperately needs. The emotional toll alone has been huge — and financially, January has completely flattened us as a family.
For those who know him, you’ll know Sebastian is a huge character in Buxton — always there for others, always up for a laugh, always part of the fabric of the town. If you’ve ever said “I’d buy Sebastian a Stella”, we’re asking that instead, you consider donating to help him get home and heal.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the pressure — whether that’s medical bills, accommodation, travel, or simply giving us the breathing space to focus on his recovery rather than finances.
If you can donate, share, or simply keep Sebastian in your thoughts, it truly means more than we can put into words. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any kindness you’re able to show.
With gratitude,
Amy
