Help keep a roof over our heads

I'm a 46-year-old mother of three. For over 20 years, I worked in the labor movement to support my family and community.

In October 2023, I was in a car accident that left me with a serious back injury. I lost my job and have been on state disability, but it's not enough to cover basic needs. I've applied for SSDI, but it takes about 5 months before I'll know the outcome.

Right now, my biggest challenge is rent. I need help covering 3 months of rent—$10,500—to keep a safe and stable home for my children while I recover.
