Cycling has a way of becoming all-consuming for those who really catch the bug. It had me traveling across the country and racing with a complete focus on performance, but that’s not how this all started. Endurance sport has long been an outlet for me but, more importantly, a way for me to support my community and raise awareness for causes close to my heart. I’ve run a few fundraising campaigns in concert with crazy events, but this one takes the cake: setting the Fastest Known Time (FKT) cycling from NYC to Boston.
On July 12th, I’ll set off on a route, starting in Central Park and ending in Boston Commons, which runs 215 miles and accumulates ~13,000 feet of elevation gain. According to CyclingFKT.com, the record sits a bit over 19 hours, but I’ve set a personal goal of 15 hours. The effort will be “solo-self supported,” meaning I’m riding alone and refueling at gas stations and convenience stores. All problems are mine to solve along the way.
At this point, you might find yourself asking… but why!?!
Well, as a 40 under 40 Rising Star of the Business Council of Westchester back in 2022, I’ve been exposed to the tremendous amount of community support they provide. Particularly the Rising Star Alumni's not-for-profit initiative which, in 2025, has put its weight behind MorDance, Feeding Westchester, Alzheimer’s Association, and YWCA.
I am looking to raise awareness, and funds, for their causes.
All donations will be divided equally between the four organizations. I hope I can count on your support as I’ll have many miles to ride come July 12th, and each dollar raised will make them hurt just a little bit less!
