NYC Teachers Build Hope in Vietnam
Donation protected
Tonight, more than 1.8 billion people in the world will go to sleep without a safe, decent place to call home. That’s why we are fundraising for Habitat for Humanity.
We understand that access to decent, affordable shelter can change everything for a family. The lack of a safe place to call home negatively impacts health, academic achievement and security. The global pandemic has brought this to light now more than ever.
With billions of people lacking adequate housing worldwide and the need urgently growing, donations from supporters like us are critical.
My two colleagues, Lili-Ann Jankowski, Sara Willig and I, Sophia Yarosh, are NYC public school teachers in Brooklyn and we are traveling to Hanoi and then to a small village in Thái Bình province, Vietnam for 2 weeks at the end of June-July to work on a build site for 7 days! We will be building a home for a local family in the Red River Delta.
This is a super exciting opportunity that we can't wait to take part in. We would appreciate anything to help support this build. Thank you so much in advance for your generosity! Every contribution – no matter the size – will have a life-changing impact on families in need of a decent, affordable shelter.
With gratitude, Sophia, Sara and Lili-Ann
