NYC Marathon SAR Flag Fundraiser

My name is Sean Foley and I will be running the 2023 New York City Marathon in November to honor the service and remember those veterans and active duty who have lost to suicide. I will be raising money for the SAR Flag Family to join in their continuation of raising awareness of the veteran and active duty suicide epidemic as well as honoring, respecting and uniting their families. The mission of SAR Flag Family is to break the stigma of mental health, suicide, and seeking treatment within our warrior culture to facilitate suicide prevention for our veterans and active duty military. As I begin my military career in the United States Marine Corps, I will continually work to break the stigma of mental health care and normalize the mental health treatments that so many of our veterans and active duty desperately need. The SAR Flag Family is a veteran owned and operated 510(c)(3) nonprofit group who has dedicated their lives to military and veteran suicide prevention, and they are an all volunteer organization that relies on donations to facilitate their mission. Your donations will be directly used to support their mission of breaking the mental health stigma through their many public outreach opportunities (remembrance ceremonies, speeches, and presentations), supporting various other nonprofits who serve our military community, and SAR Flag raising at Veteran Service Organizations to include but not limited to: VFW Posts, American Legion Posts, and more.
