Veterans Suicide Awareness & Remembrance Flag Corp

My birthday is March 1st. Back in 1965, I was drafted into the Army and served from 1965 to 1968. Part of my journey took me to Vietnam, serving in a combat zone for all of that time. Not many of us came back the same; I know I didn't. I'm in my twilight years, still have my issues, but feel greatly for all the young brothers called to duty in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and beyond. None of us go to war and return the same.

I ask you to contribute to this truly worthy cause. Especially now with our concerns about what's happening to the Veterans Administration. Please donate what you can, every dollar counts.

My name is Amber Garrow, and I'm a niece and a granddaughter of U.S. military servicemen. My grandfather on my dad's side served in the Army, and on my mother's side, my grandfather was in the Navy, and so was my uncle. I'm creating this fundraiser to help veterans who are and continue to struggle with housing, mental health illnesses, and even substance abuse.

Our servicemen and women struggle every day, and they are turned down by their trusted organizations. They end up hopeless, take the wrong path, and some end up hospitalized, while others end up committing suicide. Our country should be there for these individuals who put their lives on the line for us to have a safe place to live. If no one else honors these individuals, I do. I think they all do a great job out here and deserve the absolute best. Please, let's come together and help them and give them our dedication like they have to us.
