Title: Help Us Restore Dignity to Middle Creek Cemetery
Our Story:
My wife and I are restoring Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill, Ohio. This cemetery holds generations of our community’s history: farmers, teachers, veterans, parents, and children who helped build the town we love. Right now, over 100 headstones have fallen and 100+ more are leaning. Many need new foundations before they can be safely reset. These markers, the only remaining tribute to many of these souls, are at risk of being lost forever. Our town has fewer than 400 people. We don’t have city crews or a budget for this, so we’re doing it ourselves. But we need help.
Every dollar goes to restoration:
Materials: Concrete, gravel, epoxy, mortar, safe stone cleaner
Equipment: Hoist, straps, tools, safety gear
Labor: Specialist help for large stones
Goal: $25,000–$30,000
This covers stabilizing fallen stones, resetting leaning ones, and pouring new foundations so repairs last another century. We’ll post photo updates as we work.
Why It Matters:
A headstone is often the last record that someone lived. By repairing these, we tell 200+ families their loved ones are still remembered. If you have family here, grew up nearby, or believe cemeteries deserve respect, please consider donating. Sharing helps too.
Thank you,
