Dahlila Bashi’s Medical Fund

On June 24th ,  Dahlila came down with a cough that progressively got worse. Her mother took her in to the doctor at the end of the week and Dahlila was rushed to Memorial hospital for extremely low oxygen levels. She then was assessed and told she had a very bad case of pneumonia in both lungs. She was then rushed to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland where she stayed for 3 weeks, again getting progressively even worse. Her parents were told all tests were coming back negative and to this day they do not know the cause of this inflammation in her lungs. As of now, it is broadly being called an Interstitial Lung Disease.

After 3 weeks , UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital came to a point where they could do no more. Her parents were given the option of giving her a tracheotomy to increase ventilation, making her as comfortable as possible to peacefully pass away, or risk a trip of moving her to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford to be a possible candidate for a lung transplant . Her parents chose the trip to Stanford . For which  Dahlila has been there for roughly two weeks.

Dahlila is currently on an Ecmo machine that is pumping oxygen into her bloodstream, a ventilator breathing for her, chest tubes taking out extra fluid and is in a drug induced coma. During this difficult time Dahlila also now has a 2 month old baby brother. We are asking for help for her parents with essentials, bills and medical expenses.
Parents are still hopeful for Dahlila’s recovery but it is a very long road ahead. Thank you all in advance for any help you may provide. God Bless.
