I’ve given thought and prayer to expanding a ministry I began a year ago. “Coffee for Cops™️”. I’ve been purchasing $5.00 Starbucks & Dunkin’ Donuts Gift Cards and distributing them to police officers at various agencies. I’ve also given cards to each employee at the City of Rochester 911 Communications Center. These men and women do a lot for us, and go through a lot. Most often we don’t see what’s behind the uniform when it comes to their needs emotionally and spiritually.

I have found that giving them just a little thank you, in the form of a coffee gift card, truly makes them feel appreciated. This outreach has also afforded me the opportunity to become friends with some law-enforcement personnel, who have struggled with the pressures of their job. I’ve been able to share my faith with them, pray for and with them, encourage them, and watch them turn to God for hope.

One officer shared that my kindness in a few short months, has been more beneficial and genuine than some friends they’ve known for a lifetime.
