Hi, my name is Lori. Let me introduce to you my one true love Brody. In 2014 a rescue foundation contacted me asking if my children and I would consider rescuing a second dog that was being horribly neglected and needed a home immediately. We had just rescued

« Mindy » 7 months earlier and were hesitant that we could take on another dog but once we knew Brody’s horrible story and saw Brody’s sweet face it was a done deal, there was no way we weren’t going to try to bring this angel home to our family. What we didn’t know was that there were 14 other families that wanted to adopt Brody as well. I decided to write a letter to Brody ´s rescue Mom Annet Artani, singer, writer , Super Mom & founder of Miney’s Rescue of Love.

I shared my story with Annet & explained why I thought why Brody would live his best life with us. That year, my children & I had lost our business, our home and much more. We couldn’t give him an exotic life but I would do anything to provide for him, love him unconditionally, spoil him endlessly and always put his well being before anything. To be honest I think we needed him as much as he needed us.Annet was very taken back by our letter and chose our family to be Brody’s new home. We were so excited. Brody is the biggest love bug & goof ball. He has always had such a huge impact on everyone he meets and such a sweet soul to all. Brody loves to talk , mostly lecture , loves to hog the bed, loves to burp in your face if you’re annoying him or ignoring him but he loves to spoon & cuddle with a night light. When Brody was neglected he spent most of his days in darkness and doesn’t like the dark so at night we cuddle . I love all my dogs but everyone knows , as per my endless facebook posts with him, he has a very special place in my heart. He has helped me overcome so many hardships over the years .Sadly last week we were given the gut wrenching news that Brody has a 3 inch Cancerous Sarcoma. Our Vet is hopeful that we can remove most of the mass and treat any remaining cancer after the surgery. I was hesitant to do a fundraiser but I am between jobs and desperate for help. I’ve organized over 80 fundraisers helping local non for profit & Cancer foundations but I never thought I would have to do it for one of my children Brody is scheduled to have surgery Sept 8th 2022 by the wonderful Dr Bart at Glenville Vet. If anyone can help my children and I and of course Mindy, Aka Brody’s girlfriend, we would be forever grateful.

The Estimated cost for surgery, CT Scan, X-rays, medications and possible chemo treatment after will be $5500.

If you cannot afford a donation, I deeply understand, the pandemic has been very difficult for us all, please pray for Brody . That will be much appreciated as well.
